Sponsor Donation Portal

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Annual Meeting of the John W. Hanbery Society. Returning sponsors know this is an intimate and family-oriented meeting with unique opportunities to network with Stanford Neurosurgery Residency Program Alumni. For more than four decades, this has been a meeting that is worth attending!

Attendees

The Annual Meeting of the Hanbery Society (affectionately known simply as "Hanbery") is open to all members of the Hanbery Society, which includes all current chief residents and former graduates of the Stanford Neurosurgery Residency Program. Hanbery Members come from across the US and include current and former department chairs, high volume private practice surgeons, leading basic scientists, as well surgeons whose careers are just getting started.  As of 2024, there are 93 Hanbery Society members, a number that continues to grow every year.

Venue
The meeting site is chosen by the hosts of the meeting, which are the graduates who are roughly a decade out from training.  Hanbery was historically hosted in alumni home towns, even in private residences.  As the alumni group has grown substantially, the meetings are now typically held at conference centers located in family-friendly destinations, providing a superb opportunity to interact with neurosurgeons in a professional, but relaxed environment.  Many vendors bring their own families.  Hanbery has, through its many decades, been a great long-term relationship-building experience for all.
Agenda

The scientific program is highly interactive and covers the full breadth of neurosurgical topics. No matter what type of neurosurgical product your company carries, this program will be relevant.  Talks span two days (typically 4-5 hour morning sessions), allowing ample time for sponsors and members to discuss and debate cutting edge topics in neurosurgery and evaluate products from our sponsors.

Engagement

Sponsor representatives are invited to the scientific meeting and encouraged to engage with the members throughout the conference.  Vendors will set up exhibits, which will be visited by the members during the designated breaks.  Engagement is further encouraged via raffle tickets, which can be acquired by visiting the booths.  Our Platinum-level sponsors will be provided the opportunity to give a short presentation at the conference sessions.  All Sponsor Representatives and their families are invited to the dining events (except for the Members-only dinner).

Donate

The John W. Hanbery Society is a non-profit organization and public charity.  Your donation is used to support education for our Stanford residents, the Hanbery Fellowship (open to medical and graduate students at Stanford), and partly cover annual meeting expenses.

Sponsorship is broken down into the tiers shown below.  We know that companies vary widely in their size and budget.  If these levels are not possible for a smaller company, a custom level could be arranged through the meeting directors.
